Please forgive me for the following rant, but I find my feelings on this subject to be too powerful and dare I say far too overwhelming to keep inside my own head.  Why does anyone have to pay money for the right to carry a concealed pistol in this state?  The language in the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is plain as day to me.  If I am forced to pay the government money for my RIGHT to carry a firearm, it ceases to be a RIGHT and begins to become a PRIVILEGE...a privilege the the government grants me and then can take away from me!  That is total and complete bull$%*@!  The Second Amendment states that my right "shall not be infringed."  If I have to pay money for my God Given constitutional right to carry my Glock concealed in Alabama, please explain to me how that isn't an infringement on my rights? 

     Can you imagine what would happen if people had to pay a poll tax when they voted?  Or had to pay a tax in order to peaceably assemble and worship at their synagogue or church?  I tell you what would happen....another revolution would happen!  Where does tyranny start and where does it end?  I am a proud Libertarian.  NOT A LIBRAL.  A Libertarian.  I believe that this country's Founding Fathers were visionary men sent by God to establish this country.  I believe that this country, The United States of America, is the greatest country on the face of the earth.  The greatest country that has or will ever exist on this planet.  Our written constitution makes this a nation of LAWS, NOT MEN! It is time that the unjust and unconstitutional practice of charging money for the right to carry a concealed pistol in Alabama BE STOPPED!

     Thomas Jefferson once wrote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."  Truer words have never been spoken by mortal man. 

      Feel free to carry on with the rest your day.  Enjoy the freedoms that our military servicemembers across the globe and throughout our American history have availed you.  Remember that somewhere in the world right now, those brave men and women serving our country are standing watches in harm's way on ships, in tanks, on walls, in deserts and in jungles, and are prepared to fight and die for the RIGHTS that the constitution provides you.
